Kevin R. McCarthy for Jefferson County Commissioner

The Aftermath of Proposition 15

So the people of Texas think that it is a good thing. That’s OK, that’s what a democracy is about.

My problem is that now that it’s been approved, all those people that voted for it will forget all about it. We will probably never hear another word about the Cancer Research Department. We will never hear who’s in charge, who’s been nominated for control of 3 billion dollars. We will never be told where that money goes…. and no one will ask.

My guess is that the entire budget will go to a pharmaceutical company that has ties to Perry.  After all, he made promises to get campaign contributions… he couldn’t live up to those promises with the required cervical cancer immunization, so he has this project now.

Good luck with that.
